How It Works
Our initiative is dedicated to supporting school construction training programs, especially those facing financial challenges. Here’s a breakdown of how we operate:
Funding Allocation–Merchandise Sales: All profits from our sales are directed towards reducing subscription costs for various target audiences annually.
Annual Support for Schools–2025 Goals: In 2025, our funds will significantly subsidize the cost of the TEACH Construction Premium Resource Subscription for schools with fewer than 30 students. This initiative is crucial as it helps ensure that these smaller programs can continue offering quality construction education despite tight budgets.
Success Stories: To date, we have successfully supported three unique programs: a small school in rural Nevada, where the Construction teacher also serves as the Principal; a new trades training initiative in South Dakota, where the Superintendent actively participates in teaching the construction class; and a budding construction training program in Hawaii.
Future Aspirations—2026 Vision: Looking ahead to 2026, we aim to expand our support to more schools launching new construction training programs. We recognize the difficulties of starting from scratch and strive to provide as much assistance as needed.
Assistance through Tools in Schools Initiative–Material Sponsorships: Our Tools in Schools initiative actively seeks sponsors to provide necessary materials for hands-on training. Many partner teachers report significant cuts to their material budgets, which can hinder students' ability to engage in practical learning experiences.
Importance of Hands-On Training: As lumber costs continue to rise, it’s vital that students receive adequate access to materials. Construction skills cannot be taught effectively in an online or solely classroom environment; hands-on experience is essential. Students must engage directly with lumber to demonstrate and develop their skills.
Join Us By supporting our initiative; you can help ensure that students receive the practical education they deserve in construction. Together, we can empower the next generation of builders and tradespeople.
